Your tasks

Within its integrated bachelor’s and master’s programs, the department teaches design strategies,

structural principles, and methodologies for working with existing buildings, preparing students to

address architectural and urban challenges with a reflective and contemporary approach.

In this context, you will primarily be responsible for:

− Teaching courses in the Architecture programs (bachelor’s and master’s)

− Active participation in teaching the basics

− Dedicated participation in furthering the faculty and the university

− Willingness to cooperate and work in an interdisciplinary manner across different fields of study

− Representing your subject area in teaching, research and academic development

− Offering courses in German and English

− On-site presence at the university in order to provide optimal support for students

Your qualifications (according to the Saarland Higher Education Act SHSG)

− A university degree in a relevant field

− Teaching skills, generally verified by experience in teaching or training and by

participation in advanced and further training courses in higher education

didactics

− A special aptitude for scientific work, as demonstrated, as a rule, by the quality

of a doctorate, and

− Special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge

and methods gained during at least five years of professional practice, of which

at least three years must have been spent outside the higher education sector,

in a field corresponding to the subject being represented
