Job profile
We are currently seeking an architect with outstanding skills and proven practical
experience in design, design methodology, building science, and construction. Individual
expertise and experience in the areas of research, renovation of existing buildings,
and/or sustainable, energy-efficient construction are desirable.
Your tasks
The curriculum for the consecutive bachelor’s/master’s degree programs covers the
teaching of fundamental knowledge and advanced skills in design and design
methodology—including the study of building structures—the fundamentals of structural
engineering, and at least one of the additional areas of specialization listed above.
− Teaching activities in the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in German and,
where applicable, English, both in project-based form and in the context of subjectrelated lectures
Supervising design projects in the classroom −
− Initiating and realizing research projects in your area of expertise
− Establishing and maintaining partnerships with the construction industry, other
universities and research institutions to promote practical research and teaching
− Actively participating in academic self-administration, in the further development of
degree programs, and in the strategic development of the department
− On-site presence at the university in order to provide optimal support for students

Your qualifications
− Qualification according to §41 of the Saarland Higher Education Act (Saarländisches
Hochschulgesetz)
− A university degree in architecture and a special aptitude for scientific work, as
demonstrated, as a rule, by the quality of a doctorate
− Several years of proven professional experience in architecturally demanding building
construction planning and detailed technical-constructive planning
− Proven experience in higher education or comparable educational institutions,
