The Faculty of Mathematics has the following two job openings:

Research Positions (m/f/d) (PhD)

• starting: as soon as possible
• part-time 75 %
• salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L

Your Tasks

• research in the area of numerical analysis of nonlinear stochastic partial differential equations (65 %)
• teaching to the extent of 3 hours per week (25 %)
• contribution to academic self-administration (10 %)

Employment is conducive to scientific qualification and provides the opportunity for further academic development.

Your Profile

We expect

• relevant scientific university degree (e. g. a Master’s degree); the degree must be completed by the time of appointment
• the ability to work independently, responsibly, and with commitment
• strong organizational and coordination skills

Preferred experience and skills

• experience in the numerical analysis of partial differential equations or stochastic differential equations
