Your qualifications

  • A completed academic university degree (Master’s degree, Diplom, or equivalent qualification)

in a humanities discipline or in computer science is required.

  • A doctoral degree in a humanities discipline or in computer science is also required, as well as

at least two years and six months of full-time professional experience following successful

completion of the university degree.

  • Demonstrable experience and/or expertise in research and teaching in the Digital Humanities is

expected, preferably at the intersection of literary or cultural studies and computer science.

  • A very good command of academic German and English is also required.
  • Experience in acquiring external research funding and in carrying out or managing externally

funded projects is expected.

  • Experience working in an interdisciplinary team, together with corresponding communication

skills, is desirable.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of data curation/data processing, programming and/or statistics, as

well as experience with LLMs and Linked Open Data methods, would be advantageous.

Alternatively, applicants should demonstrate a clear willingness to acquire these skills.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary and open-minded team.
  • Considerable scope for shaping your work within an innovative field of activity.
  • Opportunities for professional training and academic development in research and teaching at

an institution with a long tradition in the Digital Humanities.

be returned but will instead be destroyed in accordance with data protection requirements. For further
