Your Tasks

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on and contribute to the further development of lithium-metal batteries as part of an international team of leading German and US scientists.
  • Develop and apply model-based approaches to improve the safety and stability of lithium-metal batteries.
  • Create models to capture degradation processes at elevated temperatures and identify strategies to mitigate battery degradation.
  • Collaborate closely with experimental and simulation partners in an interdisciplinary research environment, including research stays abroad.
  • Identify degradation mechanisms and validate the developed models using experimental and simulation data.
  • Publish research results in scientific journals and project reports.
  • Present research findings at national and international scientific conferences.
  • Opportunity to pursue a PhD

Your Profile

  • Excellent Master’s degree in engineering, chemistry, physics, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of mathematical modeling and chemistry
  • Strong enthusiasm for scientific research and interdisciplinary problem-solving
  • Strong interest in battery modeling
  • Experience with simulation tools is an advantage
  • High level of initiative, creativity, and the ability to work independently
  • Teamwork and communication skills
  • Good written and spoken German and English language skills
