Professor in Economics, with a focus on Innovation Economics

The following professorship is to be filled in the department Business and Social Sciences at the location Remagen as soon as possible: 
 

Professor (f/m/d) in Economics, with a focus on Innovation Economics
(Base Salary: W 2)

Part-time employment is possible.

Your tasks:

• Teaching (in German and English) in the field of Economics within the degree programs of the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences, especially in Introductory Economics, Innovation Eco-nomics, and advanced courses in Economics
• Establishment of a research profile as well as national and international research activities incl. publications
• Networking with regional stakeholders (companies, transfer networks, innovation platforms, technology transfer offices, competence networks etc.)
• Participation in academic self-administration

Your profile:

• Professional expertise in the field of Economics, covering both research and teaching
• Background in innovation economics, ideally with a focus on regional economics
• Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally leadership experience
• Enthusiasm for working with young people and their development
• Openness for the further development and implementation of innovative teaching concepts
• Openness to develop new teaching content according to further strategic employment
• High social competence in dealing with students, colleagues and employees
• Fluent in German (minimum C2-level) and in English (minimum C1-level)

The hiring requirements for professorships result from § 49 of the Higher Education Act of Rhineland-Palatinate (HochSchG).
