Research assistant (m/f/d)
The Gellrich Group at the University of Hohenheim develops metal-free catalysts for hydrogenation reactions and organic syntheses. We are looking for a committed chemist (66% TV-L, EG13 with the option of a doctorate) to start on approx. July 1, 2026.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Synthesis of catalysts – preparation and characterization of new catalytic systems.
- Conducting catalytic reactions – planning, carrying out, and evaluating experimental reaction series.
- Multivariate data analysis – interpreting experimental results using statistical and data science methods.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry—preferably with a focus on organic chemistry or synthetic molecular chemistry.
- Experience in computational chemistry is a plus.
- Interest in interdisciplinary research-particularly in the intersection of chemistry and data science.

The position is a fixed-term contract ending on December 31, 2027 but we are aiming for an extension.
