The Faculty of Law, Economics and Business, Friede Springer Endowed Chair of Business Ethics and

Management Accounting, at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg is seeking a part-time (75 %)

Research Associate (m-f-d)

for a fixed term of 3 years, starting from 01.11.2026.

Remuneration will be determined based on job duties and responsibilities and will be aligned with the fulfillment of listed personal requirements, up to pay grade 13 under the TV-L (Tarifvertrag für den Öffentlichen

Dienst der Länder – ‚German Public Service Pay Agreement for the Federal States‘)

The Friede Springer Endowed Chair of Business Ethics and Management Accounting at Martin Luther

University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU), held by Prof. Dr. Schreck, is seeking a research associate to

organize the Doctoral Academy „Business and Leadership Ethics“, an international training program for

doctoral candidates, conducted jointly with the Wittenberg Center for Global Ethics (WCGE).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Doctoral Academy „Business and Leadership Ethics“
  • Ensuring the effective delivery and smooth operation of the doctoral programme
  • Facilitating scientific exchange, stakeholder engagement, and academic communication among programme

participants

  • Maintaining and updating the Academy’s website, including the creation and publication of content
  • Providing academic support for workshops and other programme events
  • Preparing and maintaining comprehensive programme documentation
  • Managing the Academy’s administrative processes and day-to-day operations
  • Designing, administering, analysing, and evaluating surveys
  • Conducting independent research in the field of Behavioral Ethics and/or Responsible Leadership

Requirements:

  • Completed university degree (Diplom, Master’s) with a business/economics focus
  • Experience in the organisation and coordination of academic events, workshops, and conferences is de-

sirable

  • Experience in project management
  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of German is an asset
  • Confident use of MS Office
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
