About us

The University Hospital of Tübingen is a leading center of German university medicine. Every year, around 75,000 inpatients and around 380,000 outpatients are treated. With over 11,000 employees, it is the largest employer in the region. The quality of patient care is certified with the KTQ seal of approval.

About the Molecular Radiation Oncology

Radiation therapy is an important option in today’s cancer treatment. To increase the effectiveness of this treatment modality, it becomes usually combined with other modalities such as chemotherapy or immune therapy. Prerequisites for developing such multi-modality regimens are their aforegoing preclinical evaluation and, ideally, identification of markers (biomarkers) of prognostic or predictive values. Our research group as part of the Radiation Oncology Department works on both of these aspects.
