Director of Student Affairs(m/f/d)

(full-time; 40 hours/week, limited; 2 years)

As our Director of Student Affairs you will be intensively involved in a broad range of activities. The main goal of Student Affairs is to support students during their entire stay atConstructor University, contributing to their personal and academic success. Your responsibilities would include the following departments: Registrar & Student Services, Student Life & Support, Academic Advising Services,Student Services and Welcome Center.

Your Responsibilities:

• Organizing the implementation of strategicgoals

• Actively accompany strategic initiatives, change process, and further development of studentservices and theuniversity

• Ensure adherence to the academic constitution, policies and regulations with special regard toeducation, students and qualitymanagement

• Ensure that day-to-day operations of the organization run effectively andefficiently

• Define, monitor and optimize processes, including the cross-divisional ones together with the organizational structuresinvolved

• Enhance a performance-oriented culture by defining goals of the departments and itsemployees, monitoring and following up on the goals in performancereviews

• Organize, accompany and monitor relevant projects in close cooperation with projectmanagers

• Manage the annualbudget

Your Qualifications:

• MasterDegree

• PhD degree is an advantage

• Knowledge of German higher educationlaw

• Experience in managing teaching and student services in a university would beappreciated

Skills andAbilities:

• Customer-orientation: taking an active role in meeting customer needs, ensuring that deadlinesand service levels are met, working to improvestandards

• Teambuilding: ability to work in and with teams nurturing a respectful, positive and constructivework climate, excellent interpersonal and communicationskills

• Leadership: strategic thinking skills, ability to make complex ideas clear and easy to understand for everyone facilitating their realization, collaborative problem-solving orientation and decision-making; proactivity, flexibility and creativity in seeking innovativesolutions

• Fluent in English, German would beappreciated
