in research and administration | 8 hours/week | limited to 7 months
At the Institute of Solid State Electronics, in the Research Unit of Optoelectronic Materials TU Wien is offering a position as student staff (all genders) in research/administration for 8 hours/week. Expected start: June 2026. This position is limited to expected 7 months, but no longer than the completion of a master’s or diploma degree.
Tasks:
- Construction of a VUV lamp for ARPES
- Coding (python)
- Electronics
- Administrative participation in teaching as well as in the supervision of students
- Organizational support in the supervision of exercises
- Cooperation in organizational and administrative tasks in the field of teaching
Your profile:
- Enrolled in a relevant bachelor’s program (Electrical Engineering, Physics); candidates must not have completed a Master’s or Diploma degree in the respective field
- Specific subject knowledge in elecrtical engineering and physics
- Experience as a tutor is an advantage
- Team- and communication skills

Entry level salary is determined by the pay grade C of the Austrian collective agreement for university staff. This is a minimum of currently EUR 551.80/month gross, 14 times/year for 8 hours/week.
